Ralph Spooner was born about 1737 in England. Came to New York and was married about 1773 in Albany, New York, USA to Abigail Green. Charles Spooner(twins?}, James in 1779, and Robert in 1781, both baptized in Gilead Lutheran Church.
Ralph was a prisoner in the battle of Ticonderoga He had lost land due to his military affiliation. As a prisoner he was not in a cell but apparently in the fort as a type of prisoner. He supposedly helped other prisoners escape.
