Hi, my names liola puna but my real name is liola spooner. Puna is the Maori translation of spooner. Some of my family changed it and some of them kept it the same. I am a descendent of the sooners that immigrated to New Zealand and just wondering if anyone knows of any spooners that immigrated to new zealand from 1840 onwards. i have asked family but they don't seem to know anything else about it. i think it might have been a james spooner or henry spooner.
