On a completely different research thread, I found this Spooner site, and was not surprised to see that my sister, Emily Hays Moss had posted to it. Our grandfather Charles Willett Spooner, was son of Joseph Willett Spooner, who came from the Spooners of Plymouth and Petersham, MA. For the past 22 years I have lived in Honolulu, where our foremost brand of Aloha wear is called Reyn Spooner. The company was originally Spooners of Waikiki and its founder Ruth Spooner formed a partnership with Reyn McCullough in the mid-50's to form Reyn Spooner. Ruth Spooner died in Honolulu in 1971. I believe she was born in Illinois around 1898 and lived in Portland, OR for some years before moving to Hawaii. Reyn died in the 90's, and his son Tim, the current president of Reyn Spooner, is trying to find more history on Ruth and the early years of the company. My wife and I have resolved to assist in this effort. Surely some of you are related to Ruth, and we would like to hear from you. Aloha. JTH
